The Secret History of Girls in Coding.

This article is about how Mary Allen Wilkes wanted to be a lawyer while everyone told her not to be one and instead be a computer programmer. This was because programing jobs were not very valuable jobs and therefore said girls should do it. Back then the amount of girls in coding was up to 27% which is still not that great but it was not even a very famous job. Not many people knew about computers or what they were. When Mary applied for the job they gave it to her and there were a few women too. Still, Mary became a lawyer, Computer Scientist and an engineer!
